Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm Housekeeping Assistant for Horse Fair Care Home in Rugeley, Staffordshire. You will join a friendly team to maintain cleanliness and laundry services in a residential care setting, upholding hotel-style standards and resident dignity.

The role requires commitment to safety, good teamwork, and flexibility to cover duties as needed; a DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
• Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
• Demonstrate compassion and commitment to the delivery of high-quality housekeeping/laundry service to residents.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
• Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings to keep areas well presented.
• Ensuring residents are treated with dignity and respect, and their space is respected.
• Maintain laundry and housekeeping standards in line with SOPs.
