Pilgrims Hospices is seeking a Health Care Assistant to support trained nurses in delivering compassionate end-of-life care. You will work within a designated nursing team, assisting with personal care, care plans, and maintaining dignity and confidentiality for each patient.

You must have NVQ Level II Care Certificate or equivalent. Duties include basic nursing tasks, documentation, and collaboration with the MDT; mandatory training is required.

Formación

• Must have NVQ Level II Care Certificate or equivalent.
• Experience in end-of-life or hospice care is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Assist the registered nurse with basic nursing care and follow care plans.
• Help patients with toileting, washing, bathing, eating and drinking as independently as possible.
• Maintain patient privacy and dignity at all times.
• Make beds and clean equipment; record care delivered in the electronic record.
• Use and store equipment safely and report any incidents.
• Attend mandatory training and comply with infection control standards.
• Communicate with the multidisciplinary team and involve patients in their care.
• Support in transferring deceased patients and manage bereavement-related tasks.
