Job summary

1st Homecare, based in Dumfries, is hiring Support Workers to assist vulnerable adults at home. The role offers flexible shift patterns including full-time, part-time and bank/relief positions with a £13.45 per hour rate and 40p per mile mileage allowance.

Full training and ongoing support are provided to help you deliver high-quality care in the community. The company values compassionate and reliable staff who communicate well in English and can cover rota patterns, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Friendly, caring and compassionate approach to supporting others.
• Organised, responsible and reliable in completing tasks.
• Excellent communicators in spoken and written English.
• Able to work on a rota basis, including alternate weekends.
• No prior care experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and hygiene support.
• Assist with meal preparation and serving.
• Support with medication prompts and administration.
• Assist with catheter care where required.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
