Job summary

Home Instead Southampton is seeking a dedicated Home Care Professional to provide hourly care in Woolston, Newtown, Sholing and Thornhill. You will deliver person-centred support, assist with daily activities, and help clients stay independent at home in the Southampton SO19 area.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for caring for older adults and delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and empathetic approach.
• A full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle is essential due to geographical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in activities they enjoy.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, dressing, and mobility support.
• Support with medication reminders and administration as per care plans.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with light household duties to maintain a safe and tidy environment.
• Facilitate errands, shopping, and accompany clients to appointments or social outings.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in a client's condition.
• Promote client independence, dignity, and choice at all times.
