Job summary

Stivic Care Services is seeking compassionate Domiciliary Care Assistants to support clients at home, helping them maintain independence with dignity in Mid Essex and surroundings.

You will provide personal care, assist with meals, medication administration and light chores, while maintaining records and reporting health changes. Training is provided, DBS check is paid for, and driving is essential for travel to client homes.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
• Previous experience in care (desirable but not essential). Full training will be provided.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, manual handling, and medication administration (preferred).
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Health and Social Care (desirable but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met.
• Support clients with medication administration in line with their care plans.
• Perform light household tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
• Offer emotional support and companionship, enhancing the well-being of clients.
• Help clients with mobility and other daily activities, promoting independence.
• Accurately maintain client records and report any changes in health conditions to the care coordinator.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of both service users and yourself.
