Job summary

Somerset Care Group in BaNES is hiring Care and Support Workers to deliver home-based care and companionship to customers in their own homes. This role covers weekdays and weekends with shifts from 7am-2pm and 4pm-10pm, requiring a valid driving licence and your own vehicle.

No prior experience is required as we provide comprehensive training. The job offers flexible hours, a competitive hourly rate, mileage allowance, and access to a wide range of benefits.

Qualifications

• A full valid driving licence and your own vehicle.
• Knowledge of the BaNES area and able to commute to BaNES from your home location.
• Right to work in the UK (unfortunately we are not able to offer sponsorship).
• Hours Available: Weekdays & Weekends 7am-2pm and /or 4pm-10pm

Responsibilities

• Supporting our customers by accompanying them to appointments, shopping, preparing meals and helping with daily living routines including washing, dressing and personal care.
• Providing companionship and making someone's day that little bit easier.
• Understanding the care plan in place to support the customers we look after.
• Keeping clear and accurate records of the care and support provided at each visit.
• Ensuring our customers have eaten and are drinking enough to remain as healthy as possible.
• Working with the team around you to raise any concerns you have regarding our customers.
• Light domestic duties
• Manual Handling - For anyone that may be less mobile.
