• Basic awareness of health and safety practices within a care environment.
• Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain this as a condition of employment).
• No prior care experience is necessary; we welcome applications from those new to the care sector who demonstrate genuine commitment and the right attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care support to clients, including assistance with daily living activities such as washing, dressing, and grooming
• Support clients with mobility and movement, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
• Prepare and serve meals, taking into account dietary requirements and preferences
• Maintain a clean and safe environment within clients' homes, including light housekeeping duties
• Assist with medication reminders and ensure clients take prescribed medications as directed
• Build positive and professional relationships with clients, offering emotional support and companionship
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the wider care team to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain detailed and accurate records of care provided and report any concerns or changes in client wellbeing
• Respect client confidentiality and uphold their dignity and independence at all times
• Undertake training and induction programmes to develop your knowledge and skills
• Respond flexibly to changing client needs and work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver person-centred care
