Job summary

Vetro Recruitment is seeking a Healthcare Assistant to join our specialist dementia and elderly care teams in Pontypool, Wales. You will provide compassionate personal care to residents and support care plans across day, night, and weekend shifts.

Experience in healthcare is preferred, with training provided for manual handling and safety procedures. We offer competitive hourly rates (£14.24–£24.48), weekly pay, flexible hours, a dedicated consultant, online training, a booking app, and benefits

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months healthcare or social care experience.
• Experience with manual handling equipment in live settings (training provided).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and nights.

• Providing personal care and support to residents with dementia and other health conditions
• Assisting with daily activities and implementing care plans
• Using manual handling equipment safely and effectively
• Offering companionship and emotional support to residents
