Job summary

Avon Search is seeking a Healthcare Assistant for a not-for-profit retirement home in Dorking, Surrey. You will provide compassionate, person-centred care and support residents to maintain dignity and independence, across day or night shifts.

This full-time role offers a warm, homely environment for up to 44 residents, with ongoing training and a strong team ethos. Pay is £14.20–£14.30 per hour, days or nights available.

Responsibilities

• Providing compassionate care and support to residents
• Assisting with personal care and daily living needs
• Supporting residents with mobility and wellbeing
• Promoting dignity, independence and choice
• Supporting residents with hydration, nutrition and comfort
• Building positive and trusting relationships with residents
• Responding appropriately to residents' individual needs
• Supporting residents to participate in activities and social opportunities
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date care records
• Working closely with colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality care
• Reporting any concerns regarding residents' health or wellbeing
• Creating a safe, welcoming and supportive environment
