Wye Valley NHS Trust is recruiting a Health Care Support Worker for drop-in sessions in Hereford. The role is Band 2, with full-time and part-time options, requiring a caring, flexible individual to assist nursing teams and support patients and families.

The position offers permanent employment with salary around £25,272 per year pro rata. Applicants should have or be working toward Health & Social Care qualifications, and be prepared to attend recruitment events in Hereford.

Qualifications

• Diploma level 2/3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent required/advantageous.
• Maths and English Functional Skills qualifications needed or pursued.
• Willingness to complete Apprenticeship level 2/3 in Health & Social Care.
• GCSEs in Maths/English (or equivalent) preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct care to patients and support nursing staff.
• Wash, dress and assist with patient mobility and daily activities.
• Serve meals and assist with feeding where required.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, documenting observations.
