Job summary

Nurse Seekers is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join a welcoming nursing home in Stone, Staffordshire. This role focuses on compassionate, person-centred care to residents with a range of needs and opportunities for training and career development.

You'll work 36 hours per week on 12-hour shifts, with benefits including paid breaks, free DBS, free uniform and ongoing training. A supportive team environment awaits.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
• Care Certificate advantageous.
• Full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with daily routines, personal care, washing, dressing and toileting.
• Assist with meals, drinks and nutritional needs as required.
• Provide companionship, reassurance and emotional support.
• Promote residents' dignity, privacy, independence and personal choices.
• Build relationships and understand individual resident preferences.
• Observe and report changes in health or wellbeing.
• Maintain care records and follow care plans.
• Work closely with nurses and care team to deliver high-quality care.
• Support residents with appointments, outings and activities.
• Follow safeguarding procedures and maintain a safe environment.
• Participate in training and team meetings to develop skills.
