Qualifications

• Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Team player with a collaborative mindset.
• Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes.
• Satisfactory Police Check and check against the POVA List (where applicable).
• Relevant NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or working towards.

Responsibilities

• 1. Provide highest levels of care by assisting with washing, toileting, dressing and daily living tasks.
• 2. Assist with physical, emotional and spiritual care, maintaining comfort and dignity.
• 3. Support People with limited mobility, using aids appropriately.
• 4. Monitor People who may be confused or have behavioural issues.
• 5. Promote continence in daily routines.
• 8. Help in social activities and hobbies within the Care Home.
• 11. Report on People’s well-being under supervision.
• 12. Greet visitors and provide refreshments/assistance as needed.
• 27. Report faulty appliances or hazards to ensure safety.
• 29. Promote the Care Home’s good reputation.
• 32. Maintain security of the Care Home.
• 35. Carry out other tasks as reasonably assigned.
