Job summary

Hill Care is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant to support residents in our care home. You will assist with daily living activities, maintain comfort and dignity, and help create a warm, safe environment. The role rewards clear communication, teamwork and a genuine passion for helping others.

A satisfactory police check and POVA list checks are required where applicable. Vocational qualifications are welcome, and even if you are working towards them, your commitment to residents matters.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in working within a caring environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
• Team player.
• Willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes.
• Satisfactory Police Check and check against the POVA List (where applicable).
• Relevant Vocational Qualification (achieved / working towards).
• Experience of working with the relevant Client group.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including washing and dressing.
• Support care needs with physical, emotional and spiritual aspects while maintaining dignity.
• Assist residents with mobility and use of aids where needed.
• Monitor wellbeing and observe care planning needs.
• Assist with meals, service and ensuring privacy and comfort.
• Escort residents to activities and appointments as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in resident rooms and areas.
