Compassionate Deputy SENCo – SEN School in Brent Position: Deputy SENCo Location: Brent Contract: Full-time, Permanent Are you an experienced and compassionate leader with a strong understanding of special educational needs?

Our SEN school in Brent is seeking a Deputy SENCo to support the SENCo in managing the provision for students with SEND, ensuring their individual needs are met through tailored interventions and support strategies.

Role Overview: As Deputy SENCo, you will work closely with the SENCo to oversee the development, implementation, and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.

You will also provide leadership and guidance to staff, supporting the creation of an inclusive learning environment for all students.

Key Responsibilities: Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Lead and manage a team of teaching assistants, providing guidance and professional development.

Work closely with teachers, therapists, and external agencies to deliver high-quality support to students.

Monitor student progress and coordinate appropriate interventions and support.

Support the SENCo in ensuring compliance with local and national SEND regulations and standards.

What We’re Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience working in an SEN environment.

A strong understanding of SEND and strategies for supporting a diverse range of needs.

Leadership and management skills, with experience in a similar role or leadership capacity.

Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
