SANZA Teaching is seeking a compassionate and dedicated 1-1 Behaviour Teaching Assistant (TA) to support a Year 2 child at a primary school in Willesden, Brent. This role involves providing tailored support to a pupil with behavioural needs, helping them to engage positively with their learning environment. Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience working with children, particularly those with behavioural needs, in an educational setting.
  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and the ability to implement effective strategies to support positive behaviour.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with the child, parents, and colleagues.
  • Be patient, empathetic, and dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Show a proactive attitude and the ability to adapt to the child's evolving needs.
  • Hold relevant qualifications or training in education or behaviour support (desirable but not essential).
Responsibilities
  • Provide 1-1 support to the Year 2 child, focusing on behaviour management and engagement with learning activities.
  • Implement and monitor personalised behaviour plans, working closely with the class teacher and SENCO.
  • Assist the child in developing social skills and positive interactions with peers.
  • Support the child in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
  • Communicate regularly with the child's parents and the school's support team to ensure consistent and effective support.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages the child's emotional and academic growth.
