Job summary

Hamilton Rest Home is a cosy, family-run residential care facility offering 24-hour care for up to 23 residents. We are seeking a dedicated Care Assistant for day shifts (07:30-19:30, 33 hours/week) with some weekends and public holidays.

Visa sponsorship is not available. You will deliver person-centred care, assist with personal care and medication administration, and work as part of a small team to support residents.

Qualifications

• Previous care experience preferred.
• Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification or equivalent.
• Experience administering medications preferred.
• Kind, patient, respectful and empathetic with a genuine passion for supporting others.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; able to deliver high standards of care.
• Able to work independently and as part of a small team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to residents.
• Support with personal care tasks (washing, dressing, toileting).
• Administer medication and maintain records.
• Monitor residents' needs and respond promptly.
• Maintain care records and report concerns to senior staff.
• Promote dignity, independence and wellbeing.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
