Job summary

Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking compassionate Service Support staff for Day Services on a 12-month fixed-term contract across Dale Farm, Eastham, Pensbywood, Oakenholt and Cambridge Road. Roles are 36 hours per week with flexible hours and pro rata for part-time.

You will support adults with personal care, promote wellbeing, deliver engaging activities and work with families and partner organisations. An Enhanced DBS is required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people in a care setting is desirable.
• A Level 2 Health and Social Care qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.
• Experience supporting adults with complex health needs or behaviours of concern would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support people with personal care, health and wellbeing needs.
• Deliver engaging activities that promote independence, choice and inclusion.
• Encourage individuals to develop life skills and participate in their local communities.
• Build positive relationships with families, carers and partner organisations.
• Contribute to care and support planning, ensuring a person-centred approach at all times.
• Support fundraising events, social activities and community engagement opportunities.
