Job summary

Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust in Croydon is seeking a dedicated support worker to assist adults with learning disabilities and related needs in a day service. The role involves engaging people in activities, safeguarding, and working within care plans to respect privacy and dignity.

You will work Monday to Friday, 08:00-17:00, 37.5 hours, with opportunities for professional development and supervision within the team.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with people who use the service, colleagues and professionals.
• Ability to maintain privacy, dignity and respect within care plans.
• Understanding of safeguarding and reporting responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with people who use the service and professionals.
• Attend to care needs identified in the care plan, maintaining privacy and dignity.
• Involve people in development of their own care and support.
• Maintain safety and alert senior staff to identified risks.
• Work with individuals in a respectful, person-centered way.
• Contribute to health and safety and infection prevention in line with policies.
• Participate in supervision, appraisal, and personal development planning.
