Job summary

Prime Life Ltd is seeking an experienced Cook to provide meals and beverage service for residents at Gilby House Nursing Home in Winterton. You will prepare dishes meeting dietary needs, perform quality checks and help plan menus that suit residents. A caring, patient approach is essential, with DBS and training supported if needed.

The role offers regular set shifts across a 7-day week, with progression opportunities and a supportive team to enable excellent care delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in a caring environment is essential.
• Experience in catering and food hygiene beneficial.
• Ability to follow dietary requirements accurately.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals, snacks and beverages according to dietary needs.
• Carry out quality checks on food and storage.
• Plan menus respecting residents' preferences.
• Assist with dining service to provide a dignified experience.
• Maintain stock records and manage ordering.
• Keep kitchen hygienic and support deep cleaning.
