Job summary

Prime Life Ltd, based at Charnwood Oaks in Shepshed, Leicestershire, is seeking a caring Cook to support our residents. You will prepare meals and beverages, follow dietary requirements, and help ensure a dignified dining experience for 84 residents living with age-related and health conditions.

Ideally you hold a Food Hygiene or Catering qualification, but Prime Life can support training. A genuine caring nature and patience are essential to make a positive difference every day.

Qualifications

• Genuine caring nature and desire to make a real difference for residents.
• Experience as Cook or in a catering role preferred; training can be provided by Prime Life.
• Food Hygiene or Catering qualification preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals, snacks and beverages following residents' dietary requirements.
• Conduct quality checks on food and storage.
• Plan menus according to residents' preferences and needs.
• Assist with food service to ensure a dignified dining experience for residents.
• Maintain stock records and order supplies in line with policy and safety regulations.
• Keep kitchen hygienic and tidy; assist with deep cleaning tasks.
