Job summary

The Place Care is recruiting a Complex Care Support Worker & Driver to provide personalised in-home care for clients with complex health needs in their own homes across the community.

You will deliver one-to-one personal care, assist with feeding, mobility and daily living activities, and drive clients to medical appointments and social activities using an adapted vehicle. Training is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in in-home or complex care is desirable.
• Willingness to learn PEG management and infection control basics.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-to-one personal care with empathy and respect.
• Support with feeding, PEG management and suctioning (training provided).
• Assist with mobility, positioning and daily living activities.
• Drive clients to medical appointments, community visits and social outings using an adapted vehicle.
• Maintain accurate notes and communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals.
• Work collaboratively with lead carers to ensure care plans are followed and reviewed regularly.
• Uphold high standards of infection control, safety and confidentiality.
