Job summary

Total Community Care in Bugle, St Austell, is seeking a compassionate Complex Care Assistant to support a client with a spinal cord injury at home. You will help with therapies at home, in local facilities, and at specialist centres in the South West, while assisting medical appointments and encouraging outdoor activities.

No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided. For longer shifts, use of the client’s car may be required, and drivers over 25 are preferred due to

Qualifications

• You’ll need to be caring and compassionate, and a good listener.
• No experience is required and that full training will be provided.
• For the longer shifts, driving may be required for the service user’s car and candidates over 25 may be permitted to drive due to the insurance policy.

Responsibilities

• Support a client with a spinal cord injury, living in his own home.
• Assist with a range of therapies at home, in local facilities, and at specialist centres in the South West.
• Support the client in attending medical and personal appointments and encourage outdoor activities.
