Job summary

Blue Sky Brokers seeks a dedicated support worker to assist a young person with autism (PDA) and ADHD to access social, leisure, and community activities. The role emphasizes independence, safety, and respectful, person-centred support.

You will accompany her to events, help with planning activities, assist mobility including wheelchair needs, and adapt to fluctuating energy and health conditions. A driver is required to enable hospital visits and community participation.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting individuals with neurodiversity is desirable.
• Driver license or access to vehicle is required.
• Ability to adapt to fluctuating energy levels and health needs.

Responsibilities

• Support individual to access community, social, and leisure activities.
• Encourage independence, confidence, and decision-making.
• Accompany to activities, events, appointments, and outings as required.
• Assist with mobility and wheelchair-related needs during outings.
• Promote safety, wellbeing, dignity, and inclusion at all times.
• Maintain communication with family regarding activities and concerns.
