Job summary

Staff and Walton Out Care Services is seeking Community Care Workers to provide compassionate support in clients' homes. You will assist with daily activities, meal prep, medication support where trained, and follow care plans with sensitivity and respect.

This role emphasizes dignity, safety, and independence, with opportunities to work closely with healthcare teams to enhance wellbeing. A valid DBS and two references are required, with testing where needed.

Qualifications

• A valid DBS certificate is required.
• Two references, including one professional reference.
• Good communication and observation skills are essential.
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions.
• A respectful and responsible approach is needed.
• Willingness to complete mandatory testing where required.

Responsibilities

• Support service users with washing, dressing and personal care.
• Help people get up, go to bed and move safely around their home.
• Provide continence and bowel care.
• Prepare meals and assist with eating and drinking.
• Complete household tasks, including laundry, shopping and light housework.
• Support medication administration where trained and authorised.
• Monitor skin condition, pressure areas and wellbeing.
• Recognise and report changes in health or mood.
• Follow care plans and professional guidance.
• Support with feeding tubes or mobility equipment when trained.
• Assist people with cognitive impairments or challenging behaviours.
• Collaborate with GPs, nurses and specialist teams for end-of-life care.
