Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others
• Flexibility in schedule to accommodate client needs
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to clients in their homes or community settings
• Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing and grooming
• Administer medications according to prescribed schedules
• Monitor and record clients' vital signs and report any changes to healthcare professionals
• Assist with meal planning and preparation, ensuring dietary needs are met
• Carry out moving and assisting techniques specific to client needs
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
• Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress
