Responsibilities

• Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement programs, safety and infection control standards.
• Performs basic clinical procedures, including incentive spirometry and bedside testing.
• Provides personal care to patients.
• Monitors patient conditions and promptly reports changes to appropriate personnel.
• Completes accurate and timely documentation of patient care information in the appropriate medical records.
• Maintains a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients and families in accordance with hospital standards.
• Supports and protects patient rights and responsibilities.
• Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs and meetings.
• Verifies proper functioning of medical equipment to ensure patient safety.
• Participates in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
