Job summary

Sanctuary Supported Living is seeking a General Assistant - Cleaning to join our compassionate retirement community at The Windings, Cable Drive, Helsby. You will keep communal areas, offices and kitchens clean and tidy, and support residents with respect and dignity.

This 20-hour-per-week role pays £12.71 per hour and is based in Helsby (WA6 0FP). We offer training, flexible working options, and a supportive team in a not-for-profit organisation that reinvests in our people and services.

Qualifications

• Experience with general cleaning duties (desirable).
• Some experience in a domestic or catering environment.
• Level 2 diploma in housekeeping or catering, or willingness to work towards.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Basic understanding of health and safety in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Keep communal areas, offices, and kitchens clean and tidy
• Complete all cleaning duties to a high standard
• Report any faults or hazards to maintain a safe environment
• Monitor stock levels and ensure equipment is used safely
• Help prepare meals and drinks while meeting customers' needs and respecting their privacy and dignity
