Job summary

BLUE HUE CONSULTING LTD is seeking Residential Support Workers for a children’s residential home in Stockton-on-Tees. You will provide compassionate, child-centred support, helping with daily routines, education, and development while safeguarding and promoting welfare.

The role requires flexible shift work, including evenings, weekends, and potential sleep-ins. DBS checks will be completed as part of safer recruitment, with ongoing professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
• Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce desirable or willingness to work towards it.
• All appointments subject to enhanced DBS checks and safer recruitment procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality day-to-day care and support to young people in line with care plans.
• Promote safeguarding, confidentiality, and positive behaviour at all times.
• Support daily routines, education, leisure and personal development.
• Act as a key worker when required and contribute to care planning and reviews.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and logs.
• Work as part of a professional care team.
• Undertake training and continuous professional development.
• Work flexibly, including shift work and sleep-in duties.
