Job summary

Intelligent Care North East Ltd is seeking a compassionate Child Support Worker to provide safe, nurturing care to children and young people in County Durham. This in-person role offers a starting pay of £18.33 per hour, with a higher rate for those holding a Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).

You will build trusted relationships and participate in training and development to support children’s growth.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with or supporting children and young people.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, colleagues and professionals.
• Understanding safeguarding and professional boundaries.
• Willingness to participate in training, supervision and ongoing development.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with children and young people.
• Provide safe, nurturing care and promote wellbeing.
• Support daily routines and personal care based on individual needs.
• Organise meaningful activities to encourage learning and independence.
• Maintain records of progress, behaviour and events.
• Work with families and other professionals involved in the child’s care.
