Job summary

Housing 21 is seeking a dedicated Care Worker to support residents in their own apartments within our schemes. You will work as part of a friendly team, providing personal care, meals, and daily assistance to help residents live independently and with dignity.

The role offers a stable full-time schedule at £13.48 per hour (approx. £24,601 per year at 35 hours/week) with benefits and opportunities for training and career development.

Qualifications

• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Commitment to undertake necessary further training.
• A genuine desire to help people.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with personal care including washing, dressing and mobility.
• Support with household tasks: laundry, shopping, cleaning and bill payments.
• Prepare meals, drinks and snacks as needed.
• Encourage residents to follow care plans and routines.
• Ensure residents are safe, report progress to managers and agencies when required.
