Job summary

Housing 21 is seeking Care Workers to support residents in our Extra Care schemes across the community. Care is paid by the hour, with an annual equivalent around £24,601 for a 35-hour week; full training and a range of benefits are provided.

There is a clear progression path via our Extra Care Academy to management roles, and you can join with a positive attitude and a kind manner. Training and development are offered to help your career grow within Housing 21.

Qualifications

• No experience or formal qualifications required.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Commitment to undertake necessary further training.

Responsibilities

• Support with household tasks, shopping, cleaning and paying bills.
• Prepare meals, drinks and snacks as needed.
• Encourage residents to follow care plans.
• Assist with personal care including washing, bathing and dressing; help with undressing and bedtime.
• Keep residents' wellbeing at the heart of the service and inform managers of progress.
