Job summary

Bupa is recruiting a Care Assistant for our UK care home to provide person-centred care and support independence for residents.

You’ll assist with daily living activities, monitor wellbeing, and contribute to a warm, safe environment. Excellent communication and teamwork are essential, with experience in care settings highly valued. We offer flexible working, staff benefits, and career development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Support residents with companionship and personal care.
• Observe and report changes per legislation.
• Assist with nutrition and hydration per care plans.
• Provide social and recreational stimulation for residents.
• Maintain accurate care plans and records.
• Strong motivation, positivity and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Desirable: previous care home experience or Health & Social Care qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
• Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory & legal requirements.
• Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.
