Job summary
Voyage Care in Langport is seeking a Female Support Worker to help people gain more independence in daily life within a warm residential setting overlooking the Somerset levels. You will support with personal care, accompany service users to activities and community access, and contribute to a friendly, family-style environment.
The role suits someone caring, patient and adaptable, with a passion for improving quality of life. A full UK driving license is preferred and DBS checks will apply.
Qualifications
- Ideal candidate should hold a full UK driving license and be resilient, flexible and composed.
- Experience with Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice is valued.
- Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy or complex care needs is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist with personal care and daily living tasks.
- Help individuals gain independence and participate in local community activities.
- Work within a supportive team to deliver person-centred care.
- Encourage engagement in activities at the residential service and beyond.
