Job summary

Completely Care Recruitment Consultants Ltd in Merthyr Tydfil is seeking compassionate Support Workers to join our care team. You will assist clients with daily living, provide companionship, and support independence in the community.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months UK-based experience in care and support work.
• Driving license and access to vehicle – preferred.
• A caring, patient, and reliable attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Please note: We do not offer sponsorship.
• Proven experience working with individuals with challenging behaviour.
• Ability to manage situations confidently using de-escalation techniques.
• Understanding of positive behaviour support and person-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks, using a person-centred approach to ensure their needs are met
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, helping to reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation
• Help clients maintain their independence and well-being by supporting them in community activities and appointments
• Safely assist clients with mobility using Moving & Handling techniques, ensuring their safety and dignity at all times
• Support individuals who may display challenging behaviour, responding calmly and effectively to ensure a safe and positive environment
• Support clients in achieving their goals and aspirations, promoting a sense of purpose and fulfilment
