Focus Birmingham is seeking a compassionate Care Support Worker to help people with visual impairment and complex needs live well. You’ll support individuals throughout their day, including getting to and from our service, ensuring they feel safe, valued and respected at every step.

You’ll follow care plans, use personalised communication, support independence, assist with health and personal care, mobility and transport, and work with the team to deliver high‑quality, person‑centred care.

Responsabilités

• Support people in a way that’s personal to them.
• Help people live life their way, shaping their own routines.
• Use communication methods tailored to each person’s needs.
• Support people to speak up for themselves or be their voice when they can’t.
• Encourage involvement in everyday activities that promote independence.
• Work with care plans using our care planning system.
• Support with health and personal care, including continence and mobility, and manage behaviours if needed.
• Safely support people in wheelchairs and help with transport via our vehicles.
• Deliver top-quality care.
• Keep accurate, up-to-date records of care and support.
• Share important information with Team Leaders and Supervisors.
• Complete induction and training programmes.
• Be an active part of the team, attend meetings and contribute ideas.
• Always treat everyone with respect.
• Follow Focus Birmingham policies to ensure safe, high-quality care.
