Job summary

HALTON BOROUGH COUNCIL is seeking experienced Care and Support Workers to join St Luke’s residential and nursing care home. You will deliver person-centred care, support independence and wellbeing, and work as part of a dedicated team committed to compassionate care.

There are various shifts including days and nights, with a four-week rotating rota. Benefits include generous holiday allowance, LGPS pension, life cover and opportunities for personal development.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Delivering person-centred care that promotes dignity, privacy, independence, and wellbeing, following individual care plans and providing physical, emotional, and practical support
• Assisting residents with personal care needs, including washing, dressing, grooming, continence care, and safe manual handling
• Supporting healthcare requirements by prompting, assisting with, and administering medication, carrying out basic health monitoring, and undertaking simple wound care as required
• Maintaining accurate records, monitoring and reviewing individuals’ needs, and contribute to care planning, assessments, and review meetings
• Encouraging access to community, leisure, educational, and employment opportunities while working effectively with colleagues, families, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality support
