Job summary

Halton Borough Council is seeking experienced Care and Support Workers for St Luke’s care home. You will provide person-centred care, assist with personal care, medication prompting and health monitoring, helping residents maintain independence and wellbeing.

Our Team:

St Luke’s provides high-quality residential and nursing care for older adults, including those living with dementia and complex health needs. The home supports around 60 residents across multiple units, offering a comfortable and welcoming environment with well‑equipped living spaces, dining areas, and gardens. With a strong focus on dignity, person‑centred care, and community, St Luke’s is supported by a dedicated team committed to delivering compassionate and responsive care to all residents.

Hours:

X1 36.56 (days) - £26,112 - £26,527 per annumX3 22.5 (days) - £16,070 - £16,325 per annumX1 22.5 (nights) - £16,070 - £16,325 per annum. Working pattern will be based on a 4 week rolling rota; you must be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.

We are currently seeking experienced Care and Support Workers to join our team. • Delivering person‑centred care that promotes dignity, privacy, independence, and wellbeing, following individual care plans and providing physical, emotional, and practical support
• Assisting residents with personal care needs, including washing, dressing, grooming, continence care, and safe manual handling
• Supporting healthcare requirements by prompting, assisting with, and administering medication, carrying out basic health monitoring, and undertaking simple wound care as required
• Maintaining accurate records, monitoring and reviewing individuals’ needs, and contribute to care planning, assessments, and review meetings
• Encouraging access to community, leisure, educational, and employment opportunities while working effectively with colleagues, families, and other stakeholders to deliver high‑quality support
