Job summary

Southern Housing is seeking caring, positive people to join our team to provide personalised, high quality support to residents and individuals who use our services across supported housing schemes, extra care services and within the local community.

This hands-on role is flexible and may involve evenings and weekends, sleep-in duties or on-call rotas, with moving and handling and emergency response as part of the duties.

Qualifications

• A caring, empathetic approach and ability to build positive relationships
• Ability to deliver care in line with individual care plans, promoting independence, choice and inclusion
• Understanding safeguarding responsibilities and confidence reporting concerns
• Calm and professional in emergencies and challenging situations
• Commitment to equality, dignity and anti-discriminatory practice
• Physical ability to undertake moving and handling tasks
• Basic IT skills to maintain accurate records and reports
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and on-call rotas
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Provide care and support in line with individual care plans across our housing schemes and community services
• Help residents live independently while promoting dignity, choice and inclusion
• Deliver care and support within a CQC-regulated environment with a focus on safeguarding
• Be flexible with shift patterns including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and on-call duties
