Job summary

Kingsley Healthcare is hiring a Kitchen Assistant to support meal prep and catering in a care home setting. You will ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Food Standards, and maintain clean kitchen areas, including dishwashing and utensil cleaning.

Reports to the Home Manager/Deputy Manager/Chef and works as part of a caring, team-focused kitchen. Previous kitchen experience is valued, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Experience in similar role is desirable but not essential.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all food preparation and catering complies with Health and Safety and Food Standards regulations.
• Maintain kitchen cleaning schedules and keep areas immaculate, including washing up crockery and utensils.
