Job summary

Elizabeth Finn Homes Limited operates Eversfield Care Home in Reigate and is seeking a compassionate Housekeeping Assistant. You will help maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment for residents, working with care and catering teams to support a thriving living space.

The role emphasizes hygiene, safety and timely service, with training and development opportunities. The position is full-time and permanent, 32.5 hours per week, 8:00am–3:00pm on five shifts with alternating weekends.

Qualifications

• Good general education.
• Willingness to work towards NVQ Level 2.
• Good health to meet role requirements.
• Empathy with older people.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high‑quality cleaning across bedrooms, communal spaces, bathrooms, offices and corridors.
• Follow cleaning procedures and hygiene standards to prevent cross‑infection.
• Use cleaning equipment safely and report faults promptly.
• Ensure Health & Safety and COSHH compliance and report hazards without delay.
• Work to schedules, assist colleagues, attend trainings and report resident concerns.
