Job summary

Oakland Care in Swanley is seeking a warm, reliable Housekeeper to help maintain clean, safe and comfortable surroundings for residents. You will work as part of a friendly care home team, delivering daily cleaning, laundry duties and infection control support.

The role offers a zero-hours bank contract with day shifts, including some weekends, and benefits such as a free meal per shift, uniform provided, and holiday enhancements. Previous care home housekeeping is a bonus but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, preferably in a care home, is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and high hygiene standards.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across residents’ rooms and communal areas.
• Carrying out daily cleaning routines and deep-clean schedules.
• Ensuring laundry is washed, dried, and returned promptly.
• Supporting infection control procedures.
• Working as part of a friendly team that puts residents’ wellbeing first.
