Job summary

Oakland Care is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our care home community in Wantage. You will maintain pristine cleanliness in residents’ rooms and communal areas, perform daily cleaning routines, and support laundry and infection control efforts.

The role offers 30 hours per week at £13.20 per hour in a supportive team environment, with part-time hours and days shifts. Prior care home housekeeping is a bonus, but not essential.

Qualifications

• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Previous housekeeping experience (care home experience is a bonus but not essential).
• A warm and respectful approach when working in residents’ personal spaces.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across residents’ rooms and communal areas throughout the home.
• Carrying out daily cleaning routines and deep-clean schedules.
• Ensuring laundry is washed, dried, and returned promptly.
• Supporting infection control procedures.
