Job summary

Aurem Care Shared Services Limited is seeking a Cook to join our care home kitchens in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on meal preparation, meeting care staff instructions, and maintaining high food hygiene standards to ensure resident satisfaction.

You will assist with menu planning, support the Head Chef, ensure portion control, and document HACCP procedures. A genuine passion for cooking and teamwork is essential, with flexibility for weekdays and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have previous cooking experience
• You will be able to work well as part of a team and independently showing creativity and passion for the work you do
• Be able to follow and prioritise tasks and responsibilities
• Proficiency in food preparation techniques
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Great communication skills

Responsibilities

• To prepare special diet meals in accordance with instructions from the care staff
• To ensure a high level of service for all meal times
• To complete all documentation relating to HACCP
• To ensure report any defects to equipment to the Home Manager
• To ensure good quality and portion control
• Assist Head Chef with four weekly menu planning
• Any ad hoc duties to meet service delivery for our residents
