Job summary

Ayrshire Independent Living Network (AILN) is seeking a part-time Support Worker Driver in Ardrossan. The role involves caring for a wheelchair user in a family home, including personal care, medication assistance and meal prep. A full clean driving licence and ability to drive a wheelchair accessible vehicle are required.

Shifts are 2 days Mon-Fri with an additional weekend day on alternate weeks. Probation is six months, PVG disclosure is required (paid by employer), and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must have driving licence
• Experience with physical disabilities preferred
• PVG disclosure required (employer paid)
• 2 references provided
• Training will be paid by employer
• 6 month probationary period

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care (washing/showering, dressing, continence care)
• Medication administration and hygiene support
• Meal preparation and safe food handling
• Assist with mobility using mobile hoist
• Drive wheelchair accessible vehicle for meetings, appointments, social activities
• Cover other staff holidays as needed
• Attend required training sessions
