Job summary

Remedicare in Dorking is seeking passionate Care Assistants to join a modern elderly Care Home on permanent contracts for day shifts. The role offers full-time and part-time positions with shifts from 8am-8pm, 8am-2pm, and 2pm-8am and paid breaks.

The home is run by an established charity and rated Good by CQC, with a friendly, homely environment and a 40-bed capacity. Full training and inductions will be provided, with ongoing support from Senior Care Assistants.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Care Assistant or in a care environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care such as assisting with bathing, dressing and using the toilet.
• Support with manual handling and assisting residents to move around the home, using the correct equipment where required.
• Work collaboratively within a team of other Care Assistants to provide a high quality of person-centred care.
• Assisting residents with food and drink throughout the day.
• Promoting residents’ health and wellbeing, enabling them to live their lives to the full in their later years.
