Job summary

Elizabeth Finn Homes Limited is seeking a compassionate Care Assistant for The Lodge Care Home in Exeter. You will deliver high-quality personal care, support residents, and help create a safe and engaging environment where individuals can thrive.

Work with our clinical and senior care teams to uphold dignity, promote independence, and follow care plans. Training and ongoing development are encouraged, with a focus on continuous learning and safeguarding policies.

Qualifications

• Secondary school education with good numeracy and literacy.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English.
• Level 2 in Care (or willingness to work towards it).
• Experience caring for older people.
• Basic knowledge of Care Workers’ Codes of Practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personal care in line with care plans and procedures, documenting accurately.
• Report any changes, concerns, incidents, or complaints promptly to senior staff.
• Support residents with social activities, routines, and meaningful engagement.
• Maintain a clean, safe, secure environment and ensure equipment is used/stored safely.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all policies; take responsibility for ongoing learning and development.
