Job summary

The Moorings is a warm, welcoming residential home providing person-centred care for adults with dementia and other health needs. We are looking for compassionate Health Care Assistants to join our friendly team and make a genuine difference every day.

Qualifications

• A caring and positive attitude.
• Good communication skills.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Willingness to complete training.
• Previous experience in Residential Care, Dementia Care, or Healthcare.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care (or willingness to work towards it).
• Moving & Handling training.
• Medication training.
• Dementia care experience.

Responsibilities

• Providing personal care, including washing, dressing, grooming.
• Supporting residents with toileting and continence care.
• Assisting with mobility and safe moving & handling.
• Helping residents enjoy nutritious meals and stay hydrated.
• Providing companionship and emotional support.
• Recording care accurately and reporting concerns to senior staff.
• Taking residents on outings, appointments, and community trips.
• Supporting activities that promote happiness and social engagement.
