Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant for Greensand House Care Home in Redhill, Surrey. You will deliver high standards of personal care and contribute to a supportive care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.

No prior experience required as we provide a thorough induction and training; the role requires good communication, respect for residents, and the ability to be flexible to cover various duties.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards residents and other people in the home.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and elevate any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Acting courteous towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
