Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Care Assistant for Mousehold View Care Home in Norwich. You’ll focus on delivering high standards of personal care and contributing to a compassionate care team to ensure continuity of services for residents.

No prior experience is required as an thorough induction and training programme is provided to build confidence in your role. You will work within a close-knit team that values respect, compassion and accountability.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Demonstrate initiative and be respectful towards the residents and other people in the home.
• Be an efficient worker who can carry reasonable instructions from other team members.
• Be able to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents in all their personal hygiene care ensuring optimum independence, dignity and respect of individuals at all times.
• Recognising and understanding clinical risk areas in residents such as weight loss, pressure sores, risk of falls, sign of infections and escalat any identified risks in a timely manner.
• Acting courteously towards residents and their visitors, respecting the dignity and individuality of each resident.
• Practicing safe systems of work across the range of task.
