Job summary

Caremark is seeking a Care Assistant to provide personal care and support in the Gloucester area. The role emphasizes dignity, respect, and promoting independence, with duties that mirror family-supported care and avoid nurse-level tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily routines, mobility, light housekeeping, reporting changes, and encouraging client autonomy, while adhering to Caremark policies and collaborating with the Field Care Supervisor or Care Manager.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with morning and evening routines, including dressing and personal care.
• Help clients with mobility and use of aids.
• Care for clients who are temporarily ill and need bed nursing or feeding assistance.
• Support clients who are terminally ill.
• Promote mental and physical activities through talking, outings, reading, writing, hobbies, and recreations.
• Make beds, light cleaning, and tidying.
• Inspect, launder, and mend clients' clothes.
• Set tables, prepare light meals, serve, and clear away.
• Read and write reports and participate in reviews and training.
• Adhere to policies and procedures at all times.
• Report significant health or circumstance changes to supervisor.
• Encourage independence where possible.
